Activities and Natural Environment in the Heart of Baix Empordà
Surrounded by fields, pastures, and a sheep barn, Mas Masaller is located at the foot of the Gavarres mountain range, declared a Site of Natural Interest in 1992. Its privileged setting offers a multitude of possibilities for lovers of nature, sports, and Catalan cultural heritage.
Outdoor activities and sports
From our rural farmhouse, you can go mountain biking or hiking along marked local trails. We have a designated area with an electric fence.
Throughout the year, every season offers its own charm: in autumn you can pick mushrooms like chanterelles or yellow trumpets, and in spring you can enjoy wild asparagus and a forest full of life.
Cultural Tourism and Medieval Villages
Just minutes away, you’ll find medieval gems like Cruïlles, Monells, Peratallada, Pals, and Ullastret, as well as coves and beaches on the Costa Brava like Begur, Calella de Palafrugell, Tamariu, and Pals.
In addition, Mas Masaller is close to the Dalí triangle: just 10 km from Gala-Dalí Castle in Púbol, 30 km from the Dalí Museum in Figueres, and 60 km from Dalí’s house in Cadaqués.
Sea Excursions and Water Activities
The proximity to the Costa Brava allows you to explore the coastal paths and discover the most beautiful hidden coves, such as Cala Estreta, Illa Roja, Sa Tuna, Sa Riera, and Cala Castell.
You can also enjoy water activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, and more. Rent boats or embark on sightseeing cruises and underwater viewing boats.
